In Event of Moon Disaster premiered at IDFA DocLab in Amsterdam on November 22, 2019, as a physical installation re-creating a 1960s American living room. Since then the installation and the film have been shown in museums, festivals and galleries around the world.

IDFA DocLab
The project premiered as a physical installation re-creating a 1960s American living room, with the film playing on a period television. It won the DocLab Special Jury Award for Creative Technology. Euronews’s video tour of the installation is in the photos.

The installation was the centrepiece of the museum’s exhibition on deepfakes and the history of manipulated media, curated by Barbara Miller and Joshua Glick.
